Marc Márquez has achieved a new victory today, the tenth of ten possible in the current season, equaling the marks of Giacomo Agostini and Mick Doohan, two of the most legendary riders in the history of motorcycling. The Italian won ten races in a row in the 1968, 1969 and 1970 seasons, when his MVAugusta had no rival on the track. The Australian, won the big prize ten times in 1998, when his Honda was the best bike on the grid. With only 21 years Marc is now one step away from beating those iconic brands, being the youngest driver ever to have achieved it. It has not been Indianapolis, in spite of its remodeling, an exception in the plethoric and impeccable season that is being carried out by the young pilot of Cervera, who in addition to exhibiting a brilliant piloting, is showing himself as an invincible rival for his pursuers, that race to race see as the possibility that it wins the 18 great prizes of the course is, every time, closer. With the remodeling of the track, it seemed more favorable to the Yamaha, and it may be true that Jorge Lorenzo, who has reached 1.8 seconds of the Catalan, and Valentino Rossi, who has entered 6.5 seconds, have completed the podium. Marc leading with a stabilized advantage in the two seconds, Lorenzo second each time further away from Valentino; Pedrosa without being able to cut the Italian and, behind, Pol Espargaró and fifth after beating Dovizioso, who in turn has ended up being overtaken by Smith.
In the end Marc’s clear victory with 1.8 over Lorenzo and 6.5 over Rossi, calm and smooth triumph, absolute superiority and overwhelming dominance. The race, despite not being too broken, has suffered up to eight withdrawals, including those of Alvaro Bautista after a disastrous weekend, Aleix Espargaró, Héctor Barberá and the German Stefan Bradl.
