Marc Márquez, of “vacations” in Portimao

Marc Márquez took advantage of the break in the MotoGP World Championship until the middle of August to pack his bags with his team and train for three days at the Algarve International Circuit, also known as the Portimao Circuit, in Portugal and prepare facing the second part of the championship.

This was the first time that a motorcycle of the MotoGP World Championship has rolled on the Portuguese track. The decision to do it there has been taken since the riders participating in the championship are prohibited from training on the World Cup circuits outside the official test days.

In total, Marc Márquez has gotten a 211-lap splash, which has involved covering a total of 1,000 kilometers and during which he has tested the new solutions that Suter has brought to defend the leadership of the Moto category.

Next you have a video of the tests and the declarations of the Spanish pilot.

Statements by Marc Márquez:
The workouts went very well and we were able to obtain a lot of information, which was what these training sessions were about. The first day was more of adaptation and cost me a bit, since this circuit has many changes of slope, ups and downs, and also many potholes, which for the set-up complicate things a bit. From there, we have been able to try new things, since Suter has worked very well and we have to be happy, because we have drawn enough conclusions.
It has been positive and this will help us to be more prepared in the second part of the championship and try to go a little faster, and above all, more comfortable.
