The Repsol Honda rider faces the second half of the year in front of the World Championship with 170 points, 48 ahead of Jorge Lorenzo. The MotoGP World Championship will celebrate 5 races in the next 7 weeks.
After almost a month of break and after overcoming the first nine races, the MotoGP World Championship starts the intense second half of the season in the Austrian Grand Prix, which returns to the calendar after being absent since 1997. Marc Márquez faces the test in Spielberg in front of the World with 170 points, 48 more than the second classified.
Marc Márquez: “The holidays have gone really well, because we started the summer break knowing that we had worked as well as possible with the team and Honda during the first half of the season, I had some days off, to rest and relax with my friends On the beach, however, we are about to start a second half of a season that is going to be frantic and a challenge, it will demand all our concentration and a lot of hard work, so I have prepared myself by cycling and supermotard
I really want to get on my MotoGP and shoot again in Austria. I have had the opportunity to drive on this amazing track twice, and although I could not make it my racing bike and of course I could not push as much as I would have liked. It is a circuit to enjoy; Some points remind me of Austin, where you have to brake very hard, stop the bike and turn, but then the last zone comes, which is faster. I think it’s a good layout for the World Championship, I really want to ride there with my bike.
When you plan a weekend on a new route, everything is different and you have to try to adapt as soon as possible. In addition, I am also proud to be able to count on my fan club together with the Austrian fans. I’m sure we’ll have a great weekend and, hopefully, sunny weather. “
