The Cervera Museum, with the collaboration of the Official Fanclub Marc Márquez 93, presents a new exhibition dedicated to the five times world champion. It includes 18 scenes corresponding to the 18 races of the 2016 MotoGP season, when Marc Márquez was crowned again world champion.
In these hyperrealist paintings, the brushstroke becomes confused with the pixels of the photo from which they depart. Its author is the Madrid painter Tomás Cantón, a passionate of the races and one of the few Spanish painters that devotes the greater part of his work to motorsport and, especially, to motorcycling. The artist paintings are based on the photos of Jaime Olivares, Repsol Honda Team photographer in the MotoGP races.
With this exhibition, the city of Cervera and the Museum that hosts the permanent exhibition on Marc Márquez pays him a new tribute and extends the offer destined to his followers.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, January 29 at 12.00 in the Cervera Museum. The artist, Tomás Cantón, and the president of the Official Fanclub Marc Márquez 93, Ramon Márquez, will be present on it.
