The Repsol Honda Team debutant driver finishes the first day of the Red Bull of the Americas Grand Prix as the fastest of the queen category, ahead of Pedrosa, Bradl and Lorenzo.
After giving a first warning dominating the FP1 that has opened the game in the new Texan track, Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) has rounded off his excellent start of the weekend also signing the fastest time in the second free session with a time of 2.05.031 that reduces its previous registration by almost 3 seconds.
The Spaniard has imposed himself for half a second on his teammate Dani Pedrosa, who has been more comfortable in this second session after complaining of lack of grip at the start of the day. Behind the official tandem of HRC, his brand mate Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda Team) has made a leap forward, moving from 9th position of FP1 to 3rd in this second session. Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) has given ground to the FP1 morning, which had signed the 4th best record.
