Lewis Hamilton: “What Márquez is doing is surreal”

Hamilton, who lives in Monte Carlo, greeted Valentino Rossi and Lorenzo in the garage of the Yamaha Factory Racing and exchanged one of the recognizable yellow helmets that he uses in F1 for the black used by the Balearic rider in MotoGP.

“The atmosphere is incredible, I think it’s wonderful to see so many people here,” Hamilton told motogp.com in an exclusive interview. “This is the first time I’ve come to a MotoGP race, and it’s exciting, I’ve been following this sport for a long time, but being here in one of the races is just amazing, I’m a big fan of motorcycles and, in fact, I have two at home. ”

Hamilton also spoke about the debutant Marquez. The Repsol Honda Team rider has arrived as a hurricane to the category, a resounding irruption that could remind him of what he himself starred in Formula 1 with McLaren in 2007:

“You know, it’s like a huge roller coaster, and that’s probably the same thing that’s happening to him, he’s arrived and he’s gotten up to the big guys immediately, and that’s how it was for me. Surreal, but all you have to do is follow your path and enjoy every moment of this. ”

After witnessing the race in which Dani Pedrosa got his second consecutive win, Hamilton returned to Monaco, where he himself has a date on the track next weekend.
