Marc Márquez has celebrated his 100th career in the World Championship conquering his fourth consecutive victory of the 2014 season. The World Champion has disposed of Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa to win his first World Cup victory at the bwin Grand Prix of Spain .

Márquez has added his first world triumph in Jerez – the only circuit included in the current calendar where he had not yet been imposed in any category – after starting from pole for the fourth time in a row.
In the first moments an intense pulse has been unleashed between Márquez and the two men of the Movistar Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The three have advanced several times in those initial minutes where the hierarchy was played in the race. There, the championship leader has won his first assault. Without options to get to Marquez, the Italian has endured the stalking of Dani Pedrosa, who has reached his wheel on the last lap and has seen the checkered flag to a tenth of a second from the nine times world champion. It was the first podium in this Rossi track since the 2010 season. Pedrosa was third and he has given a new double to the Repsol Honda team.
Overcome by the Barcelona of Honda seven laps to go, Jorge Lorenzo has had to settle for the fourth position and has not been able to celebrate his 27th birthday and his 200th career in the World Championship since the podium. Behind the Mallorcan, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati team) has been awarded a very busy 5th place after an uncompromising battle with Álvaro Bautista (GO & FUN Honda Gresini), 6th, and Aleix Espargaró (7th). The pilot of Talavera de la Reina has added his first points in the Championship after his consecutive fiascos in the races of Losail, Austin and Termas de Rio Hondo.
The duo of the Monster Yamaha Tech 3, Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaró, and Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) have completed the top ten positions of the Grand Prix.
